Matt is the second of four brothers
with Usher’s Syndrome,
Type 2.
Simply
stated, since a young age,
each brother has had diminishing
eyesight and hearing.
Matt, though now
totally blind, continues to communicate
very effectively, thanks to
a year
attending a Blind Institute in Seattle
and the
wonders of hearing aids.
to develop Matt's other gifts. His story telling and
memory are exceptional. He recently memorized
the Sermon on the Mount,
which is three Chapters long.
gigantic determination has a solid
impact on any
handicapped person.
Even better, group after group reports
non-handicapped
people, when seeing
what Matt has done, being compelled to
excel with their
God-given gifts.
